|Information We Collect and How We Use It
|You may choose to provide us with personal information when you visit our Site. For example, if you decide to complete a user registration form or complete an online survey, or make a purchase, you may be asked to provide certain information such as your contact information (name, email address, mailing address, and telephone number) and optional information such as your age group, gender and product and/or cosmetic concerns, and the brands and products you use. We use this information to provide the service you requested. If you decide to place an order, we will also need to know your delivery and billing address, credit card number and expiration date. To help protect your personal information, users registering at the Site must also enter a use name/email address and password. We may also invite you to provide information about your skincare concerns to enable us to provide you with customized service.
|The M∙A∙C PRO Program
The Program is designed for makeup artists/professional who may apply to become a member. Program members enjoy access to M∙A∙C Cosmetics product discounts, seasonal trend report, master classes, preview nights and special professional events.
In order to participate in and enjoy the benefits of Program membership, you will need to provide your name, home and/or business address and phone number(s). We collect your email address if you elect to provide it. In addition, as part of the Program application process, you will be asked to provide information designed to verify your entitlement as a “professional” to participate in this unique Program.
As a Program member, you will be issued a M∙A∙C PRO Membership number that you may use to access the M∙A∙C PRO segment of the Site. For your security and protection, when you visit the M∙A∙C PRO segment, you will be asked to provide your M∙A∙C PRO Membership number and certain additional information such as your contact information (e.g., last name, email address, mailing address, and telephone number) for verification purposes. To protect your personal information, Program members registering at the Site must also create a password. If you decide to place an order or renew your membership online, you will also need to provide credit card information such as credit card number and expiration date, as well as delivery and billing address. We will store this credit card information for future renewals if you elect to sign up for automatic renewal of your Program membership.
|Use of Personal Information by M·A·C Cosmetics NA|
With your consent, the information you provide may be used by M∙A∙C Cosmetics NA to create and deliver to you emails such as our newsletters, surveys or other email messages containing product and event information, cosmetics tips or promotions or to phone you. If you do consent to receive these communications and later decide that you would no longer like to receive them, see the “Your Choices” Section below. You may receive the benefit of hearing from M∙A∙C Cosmetics NA via direct mail even if you have not elected to receive other marketing communications. The M∙A∙C PRO ProgramCommunications to Serve You
As part of M∙A∙C PRO membership, you will receive communications from M∙A∙C Cosmetics NA about promotions, events, products and services.
If you have elected to provide us with your contact information, we may provide you with service related announcements by any means, including email, concerning the Site or contact you regarding your customer service requests or questions or your order. For example, all registered users will receive a welcoming email to confirm their registration. When you email our customer service department with a comment or question, we collect the personally identifiable information you provide us, such as your name, email address, contact information and any information relating to your comment or question, and may forward such information, along with your inquiry, to our affiliates in the United States in order to investigate and respond to your inquiry. These types of communications are necessary to serve you, respond to your concerns and to provide the high level of customer service that M∙A∙C Cosmetics NA offers its customers.
The M∙A∙C PRO Program
Please note that each M∙A∙C PRO member must consent to receive M∙A∙C PRO communications by postal mail. You may choose not to receive a M∙A∙C PRO communications via email but this may limit our ability to provide you with the full range of Program services and events from which you might otherwise benefit.
M∙A∙C PRO may also use your personal information to respond to your requests and inquiries and provide you with information related to your membership; e.g., to confirm receipt of your application form, to provide you with information about your membership such as benefits and expiration, to address an issue with your membership or to respond to product questions or concerns expressed on “Email an Artist” and “Member Voice”. These types of communications are necessary to serve you, respond to your concerns and to provide the high level of services that the Program offers to its members.
We may also offer features on our Site that invite you to provide information about your skin type and skincare concerns or preferences. We use this information to provide you with customized service and use of our Site. For example, we may suggest products that would be of particular interest to you.
Special Events, Questionnaires and Surveys
If you provide personal information to us with respect to employment, such as your resume, we will treat such personal information as confidential and use it only to consider you for current and future employment opportunities and to contact you with respect to employments with us or our affiliated companies. We will retain your personal information for further recruitment opportunities that may arise, unless you tell us that you no longer wish for us to retain your information.
