I was born in Reus, Catalonia in Spain, but moved to Madrid seven years ago. When I was fifteen, I became a makeup artist and have worked in every aspect of the industry, from “raw and naked” beauty to avant-garde performance makeup. I am deeply, madly, passionately in love with this profession!
In Spain, the people at the forefront of urban trends are intensely influenced by neon-pop and glamour from vintage 80s, using fluorescent shades on lips. There has also been a rise in Baroque, with eyes pointing to a Gothic revival, more sexy than dark; more feminine than androgynous. On the other hand, there is still a passion for classic taupes, greys, browns and soft blacks for eyes with the “must-have” bronzing touch accompanied by a peachy glow on the cheeks.
I love using Fluidline in Dipdown and Waveline or Boot Black Liquid Liner. These dark/high-definition eyeliners are ideal for creating perfectly lined eyes.
I love working at M·A·C because I’m constantly being challenged on my techniques and personal skills. It is so exciting to live permanently exposed to the creative discovery, multiple influences and to communication!!!
Carbon Eye Shadow and New York Apple Lipstick! Both of them exceeded my expectations regarding quality and colour. Carbon was a REAL black with no undertones, so dense and perfect. New York Apple was an uncanny shade with iridescent shine that reminded me of ruby mother-of-pearl. These two products kicked off my never-ending collection of M·A·C products.
An Alexander McQueen show about five or six years ago. It was a look done with shades of hazelnut, terracotta, bark, and sepia. We created an incredibly elegant, but ultra modern composition. Over a layer of creamy Select Moisturecover Concealer, we used Texture and Embark Eye Shadows to get a sharp and exquisitely blended eye shape, signed with Coffee Eye Pencil for a deep brown line on the eyes. |
