I look at myself as a 'beauty exorcist'. When I apply make up, I don't like to think of it as putting it on, but pulling it out of the face, respecting features and bone structure.
Things that catch my eye...on the street, images in museums and art galleries; pictures from National Geographic magazines, architecture, the way light reflects on a wall, the detail of an object. Any image that strikes me as exciting goes into my mental storage unit and comes out in my work.
Face and Body Foundation. You can do anything with it, from the most sheer beauty makeup to altering the color of the body.
The skin. It's the canvas, and the barometer for the rest of the made up face's success.

There are so many, but one of the most amazing is David Cardona. He knows a woman's body and how to make her look sexy, strong, and sophisticated without going over the top. His work is reminiscent of Hubert Givenchy who is another of my top 10 favourites.
