I am really honored to be part of the VIVA GLAM V global campaign. By joining the other VIVA GLAM V spokespeople, Christina Aguilera, Missy Elliot, Linda Evangelista and Chloe Sevigny, I hope
that, collectively, we will continue to build on the extraordinary success this campaign has already achieved in making a difference.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, about one quarter of HIV-infected people in this country are also infected with the Hepatitis C-virus. As someone who is living with Hepatitis-C,
through my participation in the VIVA GLAM V campaign I want to advocate for an end to the pandemic and the human suffering caused by HIV/AIDS. That means EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE, HAS TO GET TESTED
AND KNOW THEIR HIV-STATUS and I'll do my best to spread this message. People should feel empowered by knowing their HIV status and the M·A·C AIDS Fund does a great job of keeping
people aware of the importance of getting tested.
M·A·C's commitment to the M·A·C AIDS Fund is ground-breaking. When a M·A·C customer buys a VIVA GLAM lipstick, they should know that 100% of its price is
donated to the M·A·C AIDS Fund to support men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS. M·A·C has used its incredible impact as a global fashion leader to help fight
stigma and discrimination surrounding HIV/AIDS. It's also important to me that the M·A·C AIDS Fund provides funding for basic living needs, as well as HIV education and prevention
programs, rather than medical research.
Recently, the press reported on the rare strain of HIV that is highly resistant to anti-retroviral drugs. This is a wake-up call! People need to understand that HIV/AIDS is still here, there is
NO CURE, GETTING TESTED and knowing our status and the status of our sexual partners, along with practicing safe sex, are the best ways to protect ourselves, and empower yourself. You've got to
take care of yourself, so in addition to getting tested and staying informed, eat right and strive to living a full and healthy life!
For me, it is a privilege - through the VIVA GLAM campaign and the M·A·C AIDS Fund - to have this opportunity to lend my voice, especially among women and girls, and help educate the
public about the critical importance of knowing their status and their partners' status by GETTING TESTED. It is a tragedy that worldwide, an estimated 90% of those infected with HIV do not even
know their status. This means that, unknowingly, they continue to pass the virus on and on to others, their partners, their children and so on.
Through the power of our voices and faces, those of us in the worlds of fashion and entertainment are in a unique position to bring critically needed public attention to the AIDS crisis worldwide
and the urgent need to allocate far greater resources to the fight against HIV/AIDS, as well as reinforce the importance of GETTING TESTED for HIV. This is why I am so incredibly thrilled to be
part of M·A·C's VIVA GLAM campaign.
I love it! I am a big fan of VIVA GLAM V, which looks great on any skin tone and now also comes in a Lipglass. I also love the fact that 100% of the sales of the VIVA GLAM lipstick goes directly
to those affected by HIV//AIDS.
