I am originally from Belfast in Northern Ireland. I grew up just outside the city and had Black Mountain as my back garden. My childhood was full of a jumble of random pets, dirty knees and climbing trees. Suddenly around my thirteenth birthday, I stopped being a tomboy and discovered all things girly, especially makeup.
When I was 13, I attended a three-weeklong Irish-speaking summer school near the coast of Donegal. It was so much fun staying in a house with ten other girls of different ages and from different places. We listened to music and gave each other makeovers.
When I put mascara on my clients they are usually so amazed by the result and love it so much that I end up giving them the mascara to take away. My “wow” mascara at the minute is In Extreme Dimension. I can’t live without it.
Smolder Eye Kohl was one of my first purchases. The soft pencil allowed me to create a new level of smokiness. I love the drama it brings. Eye Shadow in Shroom was one of the first eye colours that I owned and I used it every day as a base or to highlight eyes, cheeks, even on the body because it was super versatile.
I would grab In Extreme Dimension as it gives me the longest lashes ever and is the perfect way to dress up the eyes. I’d also pack Studio Finish SPF35 Concealer to cover my dark circles and also to hide my hyper-pigmentation. Finally if I’m hanging out in the sun, I need to have a strong lip colour to finish off the glamorous look. My shade of choice at the moment is So Chaud Lipstick, a rich, spicy orange-red in a dramatic matte texture. It makes my eyes look super blue and brightens up the rest of my face. I’d be off to Ibiza in a heartbeat.
I’m such a fan of Eye Kohls that can create an instant easy eye look. I love Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner in Lord It Up as it’s a super soft pencil in a warm bronze shade, featuring an amazing lustrous gold sparkle. The more you blend it, the more obvious the sparkle becomes. It looks fab on everyone and adds instant glamour to a natural eye.
