I have lived in Mumbai, India all my life. I’ve been a Bollywood makeup artist for the past 34 years.
I was awestruck the first time I entered a M·A·C store in Canada. Not just by the products, but by the Artists, too. The first purchases I made were three Lipsticks: Malt, Twig and Marrakesh.
Spare time is very rare in the Bollywood industry but when I do get some time off, I love being with my wife and kids. Listening to music, catching up with friends or watching a movie are things I long for.
Wipes and 7 Lash are the two that people like to steal from me.
Makeup in India has always focused on eyes: strong liners or smoky eyes with minimal foundation on the face. A brightly done lip in shades of Ruby Woo and So Chaud is a recent trend.
Keeping in mind the Indian weather conditions, a Pressed Powder keeps skin looking matte and oil-free all day. Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation is always a favourite among a lot of Indian customers. |
